[The 2020 Liangjiang International Pediatric Forum(5th)] Pediatric Experts from all over the Country Gathered in Chongqing to Discuss the Opportunities and Challenges of Medical Research in the Post- Epidemic Era
On September 24th, the 2020 Liangjiang International Pediatric Forum (5th) was held in Chongqing. The forum was sponsored by Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University and Chongqing Medical Association, organized by the National Clinical Research Center for Child Health and Disorders and the Journal of Pediatric Pharmacy. More than 160 experts from all over the country attended the forum and some pediatric experts in USA and U.K. reported through online video.
The forum theme was “Opportunities and Challenges of Medical Research in the Post-Epidemic Era”, to discuss the medical research in the post-epidemic era.
The Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, the vice president of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the chairman of the National Clinical Research Center for Child Health and Disorders Committee Professor Tao Xu; the chairman of Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association, the Party Secretary of Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University Professor Tianyou Wang; the executive director of Chinese Society for Immunology, the director of Institute of Immunology, Army Medical University Professor Yuzhang Wu attended the opening ceremony. The Party Secretary of Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University Weibin Zhang chaired the opening ceremony. The chairman of the National Clinical Research Center for Child Health and Disorders, the president of Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University Qiu Li; the secretary-general of Chongqing Medical Association Hong Zhou; the chairman of Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association, the Party Secretary of Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University Professor Tianyou Wang; the member of CPC Committee of Health Commission of Chongqing, deputy director Lin Zhou; the deputy director of the Science and Technology Administration Jun Chen addressed the opening ceremony.

The Liangjiang International Pediatric Forum maintained rich content with sparkling highlights. It focused on the theme of “Opportunities and Challenges of Medical Research in the Post-Epidemic Era”, had a warm and lively discussion, communicated with the latest result of pediatric medical research in the Post-Epidemic Era, shared the advanced diagnosis and therapy technology and methods, to improve the ability of pediatric clinical research and scientific research, and to point out the research direction of pediatric clinical development when the epidemic will become normalized in future.
